Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant | 1979-Current | Pipefitter

Billy Bob, who was born and raised in Western Kentucky, works at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP). Having worked at PGDP since 1979, Billy Bob currently works as a pipefitter and is an active member of the Pipefitters Union. Many of his family members, including his father, also worked as pipefitters and this inspired him to follow this career path.

Billy Bob is very active in his community and works as an instructor for the United Steel Workers (USW). In addition, he helps Cold War Patriots set up for union hall breakfasts and brunches that take place in and around Paducah, Kentucky. He has attended as a speaker several times to share his experience and advice to former and current nuclear weapons workers who attend these informative events. Billy Bob also volunteers his time at a variety of events including the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and the American Red Cross.

Billy Bob is very thankful for the care and support that Cold War Patriots and Professional Case Management has provided his family through the years. In his free time, Billy Bob enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf to stay active.

“Cold War Patriots and Professional Case Management have been a breath of fresh air following the years of working in a nuclear weapons facility.”
