Description:

A comprehensive review of numerous health studies conducted on workers at DOE sites and nuclear sites. They are mostly retrospective mortality studies where workers were followed for the duration of their employment and to their deaths. Exposure data included exposures to external penetrating radiation, internal depositions of radioactivity and other non-radioactive substances. Worker death rates were compared with those of the U.S. general public, with other workers within the same facilities, and workers at other nuclear facilities.
