2024 OFFICIAL COLD WAR PATRIOTS
NATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBRANCE™
In 2009, the U.S. Senate first adopted a resolution honoring America’s nuclear weapons industry workers. Every year since, the Senate has renewed this resolution designating October 30th as a National Day of Remembrance (NDR). Cold War Patriots and Professional Case Management are the only advocacy and in-home care organizations that drove this effort and continue to do so every year. Since 2009, CWP members have gathered to honor the men and women who worked in the U.S. nuclear weapons and uranium industries and recognize those who are no longer with us.
HONORING OUR LIVING LEGENDS & FALLEN HEROES
We invite you to the 16th Official Cold War Patriots National Day of Remembrance™. This year we will host our in-person ceremony in select cities. For those unable to attend in-person, we welcome you to attend our virtual ceremony. During both ceremonies, we will light candles and recite the names of workers who have recently passed.
Two Options to Attend:
Option 1: 2024 In-Person Ceremonies
This year we will host in-person ceremonies at the locations listed below. Guest speakers include former workers, local dignitaries, a special message from the Senators sponsoring the NDR resolution, and moving performances by local singers. Please RSVP by filling out the form on this page.
In-Person Day of Event Details
9:30 AM – 10 AM: Registration
10 AM – 11 AM: Recognition and National Day of Remembrance Program
11 AM – 12 PM: Worker Reunion Hour, lunch served
