Atomic vets are on the verge of losing federal benefits. Congress hasn’t helped

The clock is ticking for Congress to continue recognizing communities impacted by nuclear weapons development and testing. If Congress reauthorizes and expands the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) before it expires in June, then current beneficiaries will retain critical benefits and new communities could qualify.
