In Memory of Robert Payne – Cold War Patriot and Hero

Robert Payne’s son wrote Cold War Patriots to let us know about the passing of his father.  Below is what he wrote.  Rest in Peace Robert, from all of us at Cold War Patriots.

My Dad passed away July 6, 2009 @ 10:15 AM @ FSRMC in Knoxville, Tn.from carcinomatous meningitis secondary to primary lung cancer diagnosed in 2006. He fought a brave and hard fight to survive this most unfortunate illness caused by his dedicated service to our country during the cold war era. His biography, obituary and pictures can be viewed here. He was the greatest man and will be missed immensely!
