The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) posted responses to some Frequently Asked Questions to their website concerning the pause on processing dose reconstructions and Special Exposure Cohort (SEC) activities.

This information is quite valuable to those claimants who have submitted or plan to submit a cancer claim or a SEC petition. For instance, NIOSH does not anticipate this pause to affect the designation of the Savannah River Site SEC class and that NIOSH’s database was not breached.

If you want to know if your dose reconstruction claim is affected by the pause you can reach out to NIOSH.
