U.S. DOL Extends Public Comment Period on EEOICPA Changes

The Department of Labor (DOL) has reopened the comment period for a proposed set of rule changes for the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). The comment period will now be extended through May 9, 2016.

The extension will allow more time for the new DOL Advisory Board on Toxic Substances and Workers Health to weigh in on the proposed changes.

The prior comment period, which ran through Feb. 18, 2016, garnered over 300 comments, including many from Cold War Patriots members. Those comments can be seen by visiting the regulations.gov website.  To read Cold War Patriots’ official comment, click here.
