CWP has been asked by the folks at http://www.post71exposure.org/to help get the word out about details of the reintroduction of the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) amendments which would help expand benefits to workers currently not qualified for compensation and medical coverage. Below is the update provided to CWP and we encourage you to contact the below members of congress and ask for their support and introduction of this important legislation.
We were contacted by Senator Tom Udall’s office and were told that the earliest they can reintroduce our RECA amendment bills will be in February. And they plan on getting them reintroduced early this year.
They suggest that we contact the co-sponsors to thank them for their support last year, and encourage them to continue to support the bills this year. They think our encouragement will be helpful to our cause.
