Department of Labor Updates Site Exposure Matrix

The Department of Labor added new information to their Site Exposure Matrix (SEM) on December 24, 2018 for 38 Department of Energy facilities. The SEM database contains information on toxic substances present at the facilities, labor categories, buildings and processes performed at the sites, https://bit.ly/2RG6Sq3.

Five new sites were added to SEM:

  • Adrian-General Motors
  • Associated Aircraft Tool and Manufacturing
  • Baker Brothers
  • Herring-Hall Safe Company
  • Kellex/Pierpont

Significant additions were made for the following sites:

  • Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
  • Oak Ridge National Laboratory
  • Savannah River Site
  • Y-12 Plant

Other sites were also revised:

  • Area IV of the Santa Susana Field Lab
  • Dayton Project
  • Hanford/PNNL
  • Los Alamos National Laboratory
  • Mound Plant
  • Nevada Test Site
  • Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant
