Post ’71 Miners Important Update – RECA Amendment

We need your help now more than ever. Senator Tom Udall has an RECA amendment bill ready to go to the legislature for possible introduction in February 2010. What this means, is benefits coverage would be expanded to miners, millers, and transporters who worked after 1971. Under the current legislation, many workers are ill and denied coverage only because they worked a year or two after some of their co-workers.

When you contact the below offices, mention that you are a post ’71 uranium worker or that you support the post ’71 uranium workers, and you would like for them to contact Senator Udall’s office to get the details concerning the RECA amendment bill. Also, ask that they support Tom Udall in his efforts to get the post ’71 workers included in the current RECA program.
