Victims of nuclear weapon development plan Capitol Hill barrage

Legislators have not given up on strengthening the RECA program and expanding it to more communities who were negatively impacted by nuclear weapons production and testing for decades. Senator Josh Hawley, R-Mo., calls the upcoming expiration of the RECA program “…a scar on the conscience of this body and of this nation.” Concerned advocates are joining their Congressional legislators to bring RECA back to the forefront before it expires in mid-2024.
