Argonne National Laboratory-East Work Group Meeting Held June 27, 2018

The Argonne National Laboratory-East work group of the Advisory Board on Radiation and Worker Health and (ABRWH) held a meeting on June 27th. The work group is responsible for reviewing the Argonne-East site profile and considering any changes that are needed. At this meeting the work group reviewed 13 findings and seven observations and agreed on a path forward. They decided the Technical Basis Documents (TBD) for the site need to be updated since the last update was done in 2006. Most of the issues discussed were put into abeyance until the TBDs are updated. The work group decided that one issue, whether or not neutron dosimetry was adequate, needed additional documents to be reviewed to establish if the dosimetry was sufficient or not. This will take some time. The work group will schedule the next meeting after the TBDs are updated and the data capture is complete. They anticipate the next meeting will be in early 2019.
