For the fifth stop on our “Road Trip Through the Atomic Age” featured in the 2025 Cold War Patriots calendar, we brought a full house to the National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cold War Patriots members and their guests were guided through the museum by an expert who provided fascinating insights into the exhibits.

The Pop Culture exhibit showcased popular Cold War-era memorabilia—items that many of our members may have recognized or even collected. Other exhibits, including the Atomic Odyssey, offered a deeper look into atomic science and the machines it inspired, such as the Davy Crockett XM-388 projectile and the Phoebus-2A nuclear reactor. These displays gave our members a chance to reflect on how their work in the nuclear weapons and uranium industries helped advance atomic science.

Below are photos of Cold War Patriots members enjoying the exhibits and sharing their stories.
